Hospice Care

When the goal changes, care does not stop.

There may come a time when treatment aimed at controlling the cancer is no longer helping—or when comfort, peace and time with the people you love matter most. Hospice surrounds you and your family with care for that part of the journey.

Hospice is still care.

It is specialized end-of-life care focused on comfort, dignity and quality of life, while supporting emotional, social and spiritual needs for patients and families.

Choosing hospice is not choosing to be abandoned.
It is choosing a different goal for care: less focus on trying to control the cancer, and more focus on comfort, time, connection and what matters most to you.

What can hospice bring to the journey?

🕊️

FOR PATIENTS AND FAMILIES

You do not have to know exactly when.

You can ask for a hospice conversation before you are certain you are ready. Asking what hospice offers does not commit you to enrolling. It gives you information—and time to understand what support could look like.

Sometimes hope changes shape. It can become comfort. A peaceful night. One more story. One more laugh. One more hand to hold.

Questions it is okay to ask

How will I know when hospice may be appropriate?
What care would I receive at home?
Who do we call at night if symptoms change?
What support is available for my family?
What medicines, equipment and services are included?
If I change my mind, what choices do I have?

You are still surrounded by care.

No family should have to navigate this conversation alone. If you need someone to listen or help you form the questions, Say YES to Hope is here.
